Relief Pitchers I Forgot About That Are Important
I watched a youtube video with a guy talking about different types of relievers in a bullpen.
You have your short or long relievers, set up guys or your closers.
But one type of releiver I forgot about was a reliever who comes in who pitches left handed, and pitches to a left handed batter, making it more difficult batting wise.
Or you have a reliever who is a high velocity thrower who pitches nasty junk and has high velocity breaking balls or cutters and sliders. They may pitch to stronger batters,
It seems that figuring out bullpen stategy is difficult so the right reliever is used against an opposing team.
Im eventually going to interview a pitching coach on all this. Unfortunately I have not had any luck being able to interview a pitching coach with any semi pro teams yet.
